The Internet is too Glorious for Textbooks

Meet Ms. Content.  She loves teaching and learning.  She is on a constant quest to do the best for her students – meeting their personal needs and interests, helping them reach their full potential, and preparing them for the future.

Lately, she’s thought a lot about the future.  The jobs, tech skills, and economic climate her students will face will be very different from her own experience.

She’s not the only one thinking this.  There is a lot of eduspeak floating around – 21st century skills, flipped classrooms, tinkering… She is mindful of learning new technologies, but this can sometimes be overwhelming.  Besides, she hasn’t been trained yet.

So, what does this mean for her day to day practice?
