3G routers and embedded development attitude

I have installed a few Billion 3G routers to create a WAN using a private APN using IPSEC to create up to 16 VPN tunnels over the WAN.

I have also a Billion 3G router at home.

I find that these devices does not cut it. They constantly fall over and need a hardware reset at lease once every 2 days. The devices in question here are the BiPAC 7300NX and 7800GZ.

I have contacted Billion numerous times and a funny fact, is that the international branch does not know about the upgrade firmware available here in South Africa  mmmmm……..     Not that the firmware are stable or anything.  You struggle to report an issue and you struggle to get anything out of them. Like an ostrich with its head in the sand, they claim it is working.
